WIN OR DIE MATCH

By defeating the world champions Australia, India has made to semi final to face the “GREEN TIGERS.” It has become a “win or die match” for the both teams.

As the days passes the nervousness grows higher because this match is more important then the final match. In the history of world cup Pakistan woundn’t won a match against India but this time INSHA ALLAH Pakistan team change the history and our “GREEN TIGERS” defeat Indians in their own home ground.
If we put a glance on the both team performance. Pakistan has been in terrible form till now and has won 6 matches out of  7 matches  in this 2011 World Cup.
India has also won in all matches except 1 match against South Africa.
So, hope for the best and keep praying for our Pakistan team

Mismanagment In University

A shop at university where we found a huge crowd of girls shouting over uncle “SUST UNCLE” does his work as slow as he can. Yes it is one and only PHOTO STATE shop which is famous for their late work. Problems are sometimes faced by the girls most of the time girls don’t receive their notes on time. The shop provides photocopy and book binding facilities to students but another problem is of high price. The price is as high as compare to other shop so, what is the use of this shop where student doesn’t receive any discount.
While asking to student what types of problem they face some student answered.

“Our so much time wasted at this shop.”

“It is our compulsion and we have no choice other than this shop”

“The prices are also so high it’s better to go in another shop outside university and save money as well as time.” Said by students of JUW

I think VC must look at this problem and also pass notification against the high prices.
They should provide one more photo state shop so that the word load on him may reduce and the price monopoly will broke.

World through your lens

At the recent seminar which was on citizen journalism at Jinnah University for women (JUW), speaker was Ovais mangalwala producer and anchor of channel Dawn news. He told us about the citizen journalist, in his word citizen journalist is defined as "when the people use the tools of journalism in order to communicate with each other." while addressing to the students he mention the four types of citizen journalism.

  1.  Sharing of experience.
  2.  Sharing of opinion.
  3.  Sharing of discovery.
  4.  Sharing of expertise.

He also promotes the show which dawn Channel is going to start naming "MERI NAZAR" they provide the local citizen a platform to take part in it by capturing the image, make videos and send it to the dawn news and become a citizen journalist.

Mr.Mangalawala sum up his lecture by giving some key points which is important for citizen journalism:

  1.  What u share it must be real.
  2.  Events are around find it and cover it.
  3.  Give your own point of view.
  4.  Keep your eyes open everything can be reported
  5.  Be descriptive but not exaggerate.
  6.  Accuracy is the key so Be accurate.
  7.  Work on writing style and selection of words.
  8.  Follow the code of conduct.
  9.  Find those people who give you some feedback.
  10.  Don't ever think that what you are doing is a boring job.
  11.  Avoid plagiarism.

I personally found this lecture very interesting and this is a good effort by Dawn to encourage people.

About Me

I am Marium. Doing Mass Communication i am going to tell u some thing about me. its difficult but i have to do this. so,
its not the clothes...
its not the hair.....
its not the eyes....
its not the appearance...
its the personality get to know me Just because I m quite doesn’t mean I don’t have anything to say. I am unpredictable and spontaneous. I try to forgiving. I enjoy being unique. I’d rather look immature and have fun then care what other people think. My friends and family mean everything to me. I always try to see the best in others even if they annoy me. I hate when people make me feel guilty to get their way. I’ll always be here to listen you and and I will stick up for my friends no matter what happen.
